THE GOLDEN BEAR
The Golden Bear comes from the natural world of a prairie wheat field and the colours of nature. With a sheaf of wheat and a grain elevator, harmony with the environment has been achieved in an autumn harvest of color reminiscent of our own Golden Boy.

Artist: Richard Osen

Sculptor of the original bear, Richard’s work is visible throughout Winnipeg from Oak Hammock Marsh to the Manitoba Children’s Museum; from Fort Whyte Centre to the Manitoba Hydro Electrical Museum.

Sponsor: James Richardson & Sons, Limited
The Richardson Group of companies and the Richardson family have been instrumental in community investment in Manitoba, supporting health, education, performing arts and community projects that benefit the citizens of our province. The Richardson name has been synonymous with Manitoba for five generations.
